Regie
I have a working file with a 213.01MB File size, and we published into 15 sheets of pdf with a file size of 34 MB in total. Is there a chance to reduce the file size without affecting the quality of shaded viewport images?? we usually send the pdf file to our client by mail and we upload our pdf file into our system. In my case, the PDFs are so big that they don't even work properly on the iPhone. They restart the app when we scroll down a few pages. Do I expect this to happen too? Quote Link to comment

Flair-Studio
I also use I love PDF because it is free, and because it does a great job. Sometimes PDFs remains large even after compression, and I found out this depends mostly on the resolution of bitmap images contained into VW and exported into PDF: if the resolution is too high, I love PDF doesn't do a great job in compressing the file. For me it's PDFs with too much 2D linework (vectors) that I struggle to compress. Hatches etc. ☹️ 1 Quote Link to comment
Flair-Studio
@Tom W. yes but the line-work can be compressed up to a certain point, right? Whereas with the images you can get more compression Quote Link to comment

Whereas with the images you can get more compression No I actually find that iLove.PDF has literally zero effect compressing the linework-only sheets. I can reduce the size slightly when publishing within VW (by reducing the sheet layer DPI I think...?) But if the DPI is lowered too much the hatches start looking crap so most times I just tolerate the odd very big PDF. I would love to know if I'm missing anything when it comes to reducing the size of dense site plans, floors plans, etc. Quote Link to comment
