No elevation plants in Student version of landmark

ontourallday

Question

Hi there, as a student using landmark, I'm unable to find any elevation style plants (2d) to complete my drawings. I've searched the forums and only get lead to topics about making plants, I really don't have that skill or the time at the moment.

I find it odd that in landscape design you'd need to provide elevation drawings to clients or lecturers for exams and there is none to call on?

I'm not aware of anything else you can download. I have never used the proffesional version of VW so I can't comment there. But just find it odd that i'll know have to go find random sketch trees on the internet and copy them as images or something.

Hello,

There is no difference between the student version and the professional version of the program apart from PDFs and images being unable to be manipulated once produced.

Make sure you have refreshed the Libraries to download the catalogue so you can see them in the Resource Manager and/or Selector:

As Jonathan attests they are there including many hundreds of photorealistic elevations in the ANZ libraries.

Hi Johnathan,

I'm searching for these now, however I have seen these folders before and they didn't contain any .vwx files like you have.

Hi Peter,

I "updated" or "refreshed the folders as you suggested. I get a bunch of folders as show in JP's screen grab. When I click on the files, it states to me in the image window "there is no file here to show".

Which leads me back to drawing a blank. All the other folders are also empty. It was like this for me in 2023 version I had at school last year also. I currently do have the 2024 version.

Hi Peter, here is a screen shot upload, I'm also just trying to confirm I follow you both on where I am supposed to be looking. I really appreciate your help and JP's.

You have your Library's Filter set to Plug-In Objects only.

Plants probably are other than Plug-In Objects and so hidden.

Hi Zoomer, I'm unware of that setting or option you speak of, if you would like to explain that more, that would be awesome. Any help or tips are welcome, again best I can do is follow instruction and if they don't work, it eliminates another path.

thanks
