Snap Cables to Distributor Objects by Circuit

jucrowell

Question

Currently, when you connect a cable to a breakout (distributor object), it snaps to the insertion point of that object as seen below: Screenshot2024-10-24at8_24_09PM.thumb.png.82e63177a103a7995b7de535309eff15.png

It would be great if you could define snapping points per circuit, which would make cable plans much more legible, as shown in this image: Screenshot2024-10-24at8_23_12PM.thumb.png.27c444c6c327867e1fb48842ea2cdf5a.png

To do this, I had to break the connection between the cable and distributor, which is obviously not ideal. If the cable attaches to the distributor, you cannot move its anchor off of the distributors insertion point.

Another really useful feature would be two fields to choose a primary and secondary color code for the breakout. So instead of the grey/orange you see in the images above, which are static per breakout type, I would love for those colors to be dynamic so they can match the color codes of the soca heads. Currently to do that I would have to make a new distributor object type for every breakout.
