0 shorter
question... when would you NOT want to reference the pdf, other than when exploding it? Quote Link to comment
0 bcd
PDF referencing is great when you need that link back to it. Otherwise it's optional and sometimes unhelpful. But the wish still stands. Quote Link to comment

0 bcd
In this instance I'm working with a legacy PDF of a prior design in VW file that I've inherited. The PDF name would be helpful as I work to complete the puzzle. But that's just one case. Do you always reference every PDF? There are innumerable times when a PDF is simply imported into a file as folder names, locations, machines etc. may change over the life of the file. When Project Sharing PDF referencing requires the PDFs be stored in a common folder/s or other users are confronted with the broken reference message. Shared folders of PDFs outside the project folder are not always appropriate. This is likely why afaik the simple import was the original and is still the default option. Affixing the name should be a simple coding exercise. " Same request for all imported assets to VW actually - eg. Image Name for textures In general if you import it it should retain its name. Losing data is never helpful. Edited October 25, 2024 by bcd Quote Link to comment
