Tomas Lohin
Hi, I've got Vision 2025 Unlimited and I struggle connecting GrandMA3 OnPc (MacOS Sequoia) via GMA3 Viz-key. I believe I've followed every "How to", so Vision 2025 and GMA3 OnPC v 2.1.1.2 is set correctly. GMA3 sees Vision as Vis+Dongle, it is a part of the same session. But there isn't MA3-net connection happening. When I switch DMX provider to sACN, it grants me one working universe, as it should, and this one universe works in Vision. When I switch back to MA3-net, MacOS Vision 2025 crashes. Windows10 OnPC is basically the same, except for it doesn't crash after choosing MA3-net as DMX provider Interesting fact is, that Vision 2024 establishes connection via MA3-net in order, but there is 4 universes limit in my 2024 license, so I can't use it. I've already reached to tech support, but maybe someone has the same experience and may have a solution. Subtopic: btw. it's hard to totally uninstall something from Mac Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted October 17 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 17 The key to using a vizkey is the connection order, you have to start Vision first, connect it to the vizkey and then start/connect the MA 3 software. if the MA3 software is started first then it will grab the vizkey and prevent Vision from correctly connecting to it. I know. That is how I do it. Suspicious fact: there is no "Connecting to MA-Net..." pop up Should I delete some config files, so they are set up again? Quote Link to comment
Tomas Lohin
I'm sorry to bother, but did anyone look into it? Nobody else has issues with Vision 2025 - MA3 Viz-Key - GMA3 workflow? I've reached out directly to tech support, made two tickets with minimal response. a summary of above + some news: Vision 2025 - MA3 Viz-Key - GMA3 OnPC workflow /issues receiving MA3-Net Vision 2024 - MA3 Viz-Key - GMA3 OnPC workflow /no issues receiving MA3-Net I connect both Visions in the same order, GMA3 Network settings look the same in both cases, but only Vision 2024 "listens" to GMA3-Net and controls fixtures. When I connect Vision 2025 through sACN, it works for one granted universe, so maybe network connection is not an issue. What is actual confirmation of Vision correctly updated to used GMA3 OnPC version? The option in rolldown menu of Select MA3 Software version? I'm able to select it in Vision 2025, but when I select network adapter afterwards, Vision 2025 crashes. Maybe the problem is between the chair and the computer here, but maybe not. I don't know. But I would like to have some answers or suggestions. Quote Link to comment

But, I brought your post up to the team and this kicked off a large investigation of what was going on. We believe we've identified some issues with our installers and are hoping to address these soon. Perhaps, you could answer one question for me that may help narrow things down. What version of Vision are you running? Quote Link to comment

This is still pretty hot off the press. Try falling back to Vision 2025 Update 0. You are currently on Update 1 and we discovered known issues with 2025 Update 1 specifically. Quote Link to comment

I'm afraid I don't have Update 0 installer with me. Any chance getting a download link? Quote Link to comment

You should be able to do this via the Install Manager, but there is a bug in it that we are working to resolve. What you need to do instead is download the latest installer: https://release.vectorworks.net/latest/Vision/2025-NNA-eng-mac https://release.vectorworks.net/latest/Vision/2025-NNA-eng-win From here, you can actually select Vision 2025 Update 0. I suggest you install this into a new folder and not on top of the existing install. I hope this helps!! PickVersion.mp4 1 Quote Link to comment
