Can a script (Python/Vertorscript/Marionette) be created that will select all objects from a Resource Folder and place them in a document?

I am a long-in-the-tooth programmer but quite new to VW and it's associated scripting abilities. I have spent quite a while doing a summary search for the ability to automatically place objects in a document from a Resource folder, e.g. a group of plants. It would be like being able to Ctrl-A on a folders content and dragging and dropping into the document. I've learnt quite a bit but not stumbled upon the ability to script such a function. So I dont know if this is even possible!

I wrote a script for a colleague to do this last March. It allows you to place all symbols from a Resource Manager folder into a grid, allowing you to specify the number of columns, the spacing between objects, the layer they will appear on, and whether the grid is sorted by width, height, or area. Once you click OK, you can click on the drawing to determine the upper left hand corner of the grid.
