We have an external volume connected via USB-C to our M1 iMacs, where we can install new applications since the boot volume is low on space.
However, whenever I try to install Vectorworks 2025 on this volume, the installation begins and gives me an ambiguous error message: "An error has occurred, and the installation could not be completed. Press 'Exit' to quit the installer."
The only option is Exit, which closes the installer.
Curiously enough, it has no problem installing on the boot volume. Still, when I move the Vectorworks 2025 folder from the Applications folder to the external volume, the app cannot run as it says it can't find the needed libraries. So, that leads me to believe I must install it on the external drive using the installer.
So, we're stuck now and unsure where to go. We've done all the regular troubleshooting steps: rebooting, clearing the system cache, ensuring the installer has full disk access, and ensuring the logged-in Admin account has full read and write permissions on the external volume.

Can anyone help?
