Vectorworks crashes when D5 Render proggram starting

When i starting D5, Vectorworks crashes.
Could you provide help or some advise at this point.

Me too having the same problem

VW 2024 Design 7R1 series Ita and new D5 Live Sync 1.1.0.0016 for VW2024

Crashes without any notice just syncing the file at about 97%

Win 10

64GB RAM

GC GeForce RTX 3090

Windows has became slow and unstable and have to reinstall it from scratch 😞

No such problems with previous D5 live sync

Now I found another thing.
I did a test on the Vectorworks version 2024 all works fine. Problem is with the Vectorworks version 2025

Not 100% sure, but in my case I think the problem has been caused by the installation of a wrong version of the plugin (say D5live sync for 2025 instead of that one for 2024)

Anyway everything works correctly now

HI, I'm having similar problems, just upgraded to the new Vectorworks 2025, Update 1 (Build 780313) crashes constantly while working in D5. Sometimes it just crashes after I click the fire up D5 button while D5 is starting up, other times, and mostly when I'm just working in D5 with Vectorworks in the background, Vectorworks just goes away, poof, without any warning. When I'm working on Vectorworks without firing up D5, it rarely if ever crashes. Attached is an image of what I see often in the Task Manager while running D5, don't know if this is related.

 

Dell Precision 3680, 128GB RAM, i9-14900 processor, NVidia RTX A4000 ada Generation

Me too, having passed to 2025, I'm experiencing frequent crashes syncing with D5 without warnings

Now I've updated to D5 2.9

Seeing if something changes

Vectorworks 2025 ITA, R1 (Build 780313)

@erminio Hi. I still have a similar problem. Could you tell me how you solved it?

The problem has been going on since VW 2025 came out. Vectorworks sync crashes when I  link my VW project to D5. I uninstalled -reinstalled D5 it many times. Most of my questions were answered in the D5 forums, but I can't find an answer in the VW Forum. And I think the problem is caused by VectorWorks2025. Because, when I transfer from Vectorworks 2024, D5 does a normal import and there is no problem. But in the 2025 version VW, it always gives the same error. Everytime VW closes immediately. I am waiting for a response from Vectorworks Team. I hope it will be solved as soon as possible. (and please don't ask me about my software versions. Both my softwares are up to date.)

Hi Sync works quite well now

Have you tried also to reinstall also D5 sync plugin?

I suggest you to install the D5 plugin directly inside Vectorworks, not from D5 web site
