Hatches

Is it not possible to come up with abetter way of creating hatches? The current interface is so complicated and not at all intuitive it pretty much restricts you to using the existing resources rather than having exactly what you want... Even modifying an existing hatch is ridiculously complex. Surely rather than just building something up from different individual lines, shapes could be drawn and repeated?...

The German version has a convert-line-drawing-to-hatch feature + a VE was submitted in 2022 to have it added to the US version but not sure if anything came of it...

Create Tiles. Creating custom hatches is a real drag. 

 

My typical process is:

1. Steal hatches from atuocad files. Sometimes they get really heavy when they have too many levels and you simply have to abandon them. (Note, no direct import of .pat files - the hatch must be active in the imported .dwg file. 

2. Tiles - Use lines or images to create the "hatch" you want to accomplish. (This is similar to AutoCAD's "Superhatch" command, if you have that experience). Done and done.

Bearing in mind of course that a Tile can't be used as a Surface Hatch...
