hollister design Studio
I started making a Graphic Legend with plant info for clients and I had a first thought I would have each cell on a separate sheet. I already do something similar in In-Design, but it would be great to take advantage of VW in house tools. But I'm struggling to figure out how to do this without either: moving the graphic legend each time I publish form one sheet create multiple sheets and place copies of the Graphic Legend centered (and blocked out so neighboring cells are not visible) on each sheet. creating a separate Graphic Legend for each plant (yikes) Any thoughts on how to do this with limited steps? If I understand the intent properly I'd use a version of this method but use the Cell Visibility + Sorting settings to turn off all the cells but one each time. Quote Link to comment

Ah yes I can imagine this. Because the cell size is based on the image size plus a margin. But does enabling 'Fixed Cell Width' at least make the widths all the same...? Quote Link to comment

I made a multi page with 2 columns and 10 rows I made rectangle at the outlined "page size" and added it to the GL cell layout. This actually worked with a bit of finagling... But when I Published to PDF it just exported as ONE very large page, not as 20 individual pages. Any ideas how to print multiple pages and multiple pages? HYere is a screenshot with the GL offset so you can see the page divisions: Quote Link to comment

I've had some luck adding a rectangle to the cell layout that is the size you want the cells and is larger than the defined photo size plus all the text. Then setting the "frame in graphic legend" margin size to a minimal width. Note - in this example I set the margin to 0 and now I can't select it and adjust... so this GL is a waste. I would not recommend setting to zero, just something near zero Then all the cells will be set to the rectangle size plus margin. Quote Link to comment

I may have a symbol that actually shows several configurations depending on the visible classes. I will then need the GL to reference several SLVPs in order to 'inventory' the project. so that is several GLs on one sheet. I would like the frames to be the same size. Should be simple. 1 Quote Link to comment
JMR
Multi-page legends would be very much needed in architecture as well. Door, window and room schedules are typically a stack of portrait A4's. If I recall correctly, I saw this capability (for worksheets and legends to span multiple pages) mentioned somewhere in the road map...can't find it now though or then my memory doesn't serve well. I think Archicad can do this, at least with doors and windows. 1 Quote Link to comment
