Poot
Hi All, I am wondering if anyone has had the issue where colours in their document, which may be from another palette set in VW or a non standard colour display as grey? For example, the colours showing as grey below are not grey, but a variety of green shades selected from various VW resources. I have activated the palettes, which doesnt change much. The lower image should also be several different cololurs...but they all get washed out, or will default to a similar but different colour. Others have experienced this problem below, but there doesn't seem to be a solution posted yet. If I create a new file, and paste shapes into that, it seems to solve the issue - but I have already done this once....but it is happening again and I am really not wanting to have to go through this over and over. Any ideas? File attached. https://forum.vectorworks.net/index.php?/topic/114618-colour-display-problems/ Whacky Colours.vwx Edited September 24, 2024 by Poot Quote Link to comment
Poot
Just to give examples, as I try to discover what is causing this. Below are some colours the Farrow & Ball reds in a new file, with the same colours pasted into other files which seem to give the same problem. Same file settings, etc. original colours: same colours below, but distorted in the 'problem file' same colours, but in another older file (still v2024) where I didn't notice. I have tried to see if coordinate transformation, copying from files with imported DWG, etc. have been the cause - but so far no luck. My suspicion is that it has something to do with dwg imports - either copying in from another file with a lotof existing classes/layers...but I have not been able to figure out how this happens. If could be having the colours in the document prevents them from becoming overwritten...but I haven't been able to recreate this problem, even though it has happened in several different files....even some sample projects where I hadn't noticed the issue.
