I am working on a project and I need to submit a 3D model to the Architects with the site model and all included. When I export my model as an IFC 4x3 or 4 as a reference view everything is fine, I get no errors. But when I import said model back into Vectorworks to test how it looks it gives me the attached error. I don't know if this is an import problem or an export problem as I don't want to send it to the Architects yet.
I tried the same with exporting and importing as an IFC 2x3 simplified geometry and it worked fine, so my guess is that it's an export problem with the previously mentioned IFC files/versions. Also, with IFC 2x3 it doesn't seem like fences get exported at all. Don't know if that changes in the 4x3 or 4 IFC formats.
