Regie
Hello Lads, Is there a chance I can show the data visualization in Graphic Legend? thanks 1 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Scott C. Parker Posted September 15, 2024 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 15, 2024 I think you can do this in the Equipment Summary Key. I would think it should also work in the legend. Can you post a sample file to play with? Quote Link to comment
GavTape
Hey Scott, Would Data Vis being incorporated into Graphic Legends be something we can expect to see released with a future update by chance? Graphic Legends do allow a much stronger toolset for summary lists and it would be very ideal to be able to apply a Data Vis set instead of having to use both features just for the coloring of legends. Thank you. Quote Link to comment

I haven't played with this, so I don't know if it's already supported. I'd need a test file to play with. If it doesn't work, it's a great suggestion to add to our wish lists. 1 Quote Link to comment

Test files like the one at the start of this thread, which includes attempts to use Data Viz settings, would be helpful. Quote Link to comment
GavTape
Thank you Scott, Attached is a test/demo file. Consisting of ROE BM Frames of different sizes, color by Data Visualization. Then showing on the Sheet view that the Graphic Legend doesn't currently allow the incorporation of Data Vis to represent within the same legend graphic, forcing the user to have to show the Graphic Legend and the Data Vis Legend at the same time. Ideally this one Graphic Legend could reflect the graphic, and the Data Vis Color within one legend. Thank you! Graphic Legend Test.vwx 2 Quote Link to comment

Data visualization in graphic legend are requested since the beginning of graphic legend but still not implemented in v25 ... It's requested by beta-tester as you can see here https://forum.vectorworks.net/index.php?/topic/104060-graphic-legends/ Edited November 1, 2024 by Ben3B 1 Quote Link to comment

But, if no mistake, you cant manage class in report, so magnet and truss simplifed are enabled And because of your DTV on name and fill ant not wire you have to show it in shaded view. And I don't know exactly why, but it is something like: "because you roll some truss vector build a new 3d symbol with az different name, thats why in the img by dtv in 2d not all the symbol are colored.." Report takes visible or hidden classes from "main documents" visibilities when you recalculate the report. So if you want to see trusses in reports make necessary modifications in class visibilities in either navigation panel or organization dialog and recalculate worksheet. Easy and intuitive /s 😄 Quote Link to comment
aheininen
I have to correct my last statement. If in Worksheet Format Cell dialog in View section you have component set as 2D Top and Render Mode as Shaded then class visibilities works. If you have any 3D view selected then class visibilities don't work. Column D settings shown in screenshot, Column C has 3D view so all classes are visible in trusses. Vectorworks version used in here is 2025. 1 Quote Link to comment
