Popular Post Christiaan
When you run the installer, there's now an option to install the Viewer. Run the installer again and make sure this is unchecked amd you've put your serial number in. This could be made a lot clearer if the wording was changed from "Install Viewer" to "Install Vectorworks Viewer only". "Install Viewer" sounds far too much like something the user "should" be installing in their mind. 9 1 Quote Link to comment

hollister design Studio
Thanks, I did not know that. Honestly, I checked the box. and then thought that seemed like the wrong thing to do and I unchecked it before hitting Install. But it looks like you can't "un-check" that box. @E|FA Should I uninstall everything first? The new installer is saying that "folder is not empty" in scary red font... 1 Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Just ignore red font and overwrite it. 2 Quote Link to comment
zoomer
I was quite concentrated because of migration assistants, having my serial in still in CMD+C and such, so I noticed the new "Viewer" option change in installer. Can't remember if it was auto activated or not. If yes and therefore this thread exists, I would better vote for a Viewer OFF by default and a warning when someone continues without wanting to provide his serial number : "Do you want to install our free but limited VW Viewer only version instead" ? Christiaan
It should be off by default. 2 Quote Link to comment

The new installer is saying that "folder is not empty" in scary red font... I deleted the folder and started over. I don't know if it's the right way to do it, but it seemed to work - other than the fact that I'm getting an "Error loading Vision Library!" popup on launch. Which raises the question, why does VW install all of the Spotlight & Landscape modules that are of no use to an Architect license holder? Quote Link to comment

I tried to uninstall, but windows wasn't showing it as an app. I didn't want to just delete the folder, as I've had that go sideways before... so I just renamed that folder to "Vectorworks 2025 Viewer only" After renaming the installer let me go forward and all is good 1 Quote Link to comment
Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted September 10 Marionette Maven Share Posted September 10 You can uninstall from the installer. I can't give a screenshot right now as I am away from my machine, but I believe near the bottom of the left sidebar when you launch the installer there's an option to uninstall. Quote Link to comment
