Renderworks & VW 2025

rudybeuc@gmail.com

Question

So downloaded and trying out VW 2025. I'm having a problem with Renderworks and having to go back to 2024 to get a project out today.

Renerworks doesn't want to seem to work in 2025. What's going on?

In 2024 -

In 2025

Options greyed out....

I'll be trying to get this worked out this afternoon. In the meantime, any insight anyone?

Thanks,

Rudy Beuc

Still trying to work this one out.

Have tried reinstalling, rebooting, & ect....

RenderWorks still does not work like it does in my VW2024. Why not?

In VW2025 I can create a renderworks camera and change it's settings, but no render.

You may also go to your video card vendor's site and make sure your video drivers are up to date.

So, no repair or uninstall option in the hamburger menu. What now?

Renderworks has worked fine through the Beta process of 2025.

Go the the Vectorworks Install Manager. Click on the hamburger menu at the top right and choose Repair.

If this does not fix it, uninstall and reinstall 2025.

You might try re-downloading the installer.  There was a bug that was fixed on the release day, so if you downloaded early you may have a bad file.

It sounds like your installation did not complete properly, so the Installation Manager is not seeing a VW installation.  Try the post from the kBase above to manually uninstall so you can reinstall.

Or you can probably just drag the Vectorworks folder to the recycle bin and do a new installation.

Just reinstalled, and no such luck.

I had to uninstall by deleting the VW folder in my program files folder. I had no other option.

After a reinstall and restart, same place...

VW 2024 works fully as expected, 2025 does not. No uninstall or repair option for 2025.

No Renderworks and so on. VW 2025, reinstalled several times, installed new drivers for Nvidia Titan video card.

VW2025 WIn; Dual Xeon 24 core each, 1056 GB RAM on the MB, Supermicro, Titan 16GB GPU, Windows 10

Defiantly not the graphics card. I've replaced mine with at NVidia T400 and no change...

Maybe something with Win10. I have an i9 with a 4090 and Win11 and it works fine. But a week ago it just stopped having render options out of nowhere. VW2025 had been installed a few days before, worked fine. Has to be some driver conflict. I put drivers released TODAY on it this morning and nothing.
