rudybeuc@gmail.com
So downloaded and trying out VW 2025. I'm having a problem with Renderworks and having to go back to 2024 to get a project out today. Renerworks doesn't want to seem to work in 2025. What's going on? In 2024 - In 2025 Options greyed out.... I'll be trying to get this worked out this afternoon. In the meantime, any insight anyone? 0 swcreative
I haven't installed 2025 yet but I do remember this issue in the past when upgrading to a major version. Try giving your computer a complete reboot. Quote Link to comment

0 rudybeuc@gmail.com
So I got VW 2024 and VW 2025 up and working on the same Model. two different files, but basically the same file. Renderworks is up and working fine in VW2024, but seems to be deactivated in VW2025. How can this be? Same machine, same model. 2024-09-11 21-07-18.mkv Thanks, Rudy Beuc Quote Link to comment
0 rudybeuc@gmail.com
Still trying to work this one out. Have tried reinstalling, rebooting, & ect.... RenderWorks still does not work like it does in my VW2024. Why not? In VW2025 I can create a renderworks camera and change it's settings, but no render. 2024-09-13 21-10-53.mkv Thanks, Rudy Beuc Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
Renderworks has worked fine through the Beta process of 2025. Go the the Vectorworks Install Manager. Click on the hamburger menu at the top right and choose Repair. If this does not fix it, uninstall and reinstall 2025. 1 Quote Link to comment

There was a bug that was fixed on the release day, so if you downloaded early you may have a bad file. Quote Link to comment
0 rudybeuc@gmail.com
Yes, did that today. That's the most current windows installer.... 0 Pat Stanford
It sounds like your installation did not complete properly, so the Installation Manager is not seeing a VW installation. Try the post from the kBase above to manually uninstall so you can reinstall. Or you can probably just drag the Vectorworks folder to the recycle bin and do a new installation. Quote Link to comment

Just reinstalled, and no such luck. I had to uninstall by deleting the VW folder in my program files folder. I had no other option. After a reinstall and restart, same place... VW 2024 works fully as expected, 2025 does not. No uninstall or repair option for 2025. Thanks, Rudy Beuc Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
At this point I recommend that your contact VW Tech Support directly. It is unlikely that we are going to figure out the problem easily via the forum. Did you turn off any anti-virus during the installation? Just a random thought that could be interfering.
