SthavyaK
As a practice we have the master file where we do the drafting and the sheets are a separate file where we reference the master file and edit the classes and layers in the viewport. Unfortunately, my trees seems to be moving to the internal origin point and on top of each-other every time I link the masterfile. You can see it at the bottom right corner of the snapshot. The masterfile has them in the right location but the viewports have them in the wrong location. Could someone assist as to what could be the probably reasons? We have 10 sheets and 3 are behaving the way they should while 7 of them have this problem. I have attached a snapshot of the masterfile as well. Regards Sthavya Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted September 6 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 6 Are both of your files georeferenced with the same coordinates on the internal origin? And is your User Origin in the same location relative to the internal origin in both files? Quote Link to comment
SthavyaK
@Tamsin Slatter I checked once again all the files. The origins (internal and user) are same across all files. All files are duplicated from the coordinates file created at the start of the project to avoid these kind of issues. And it is a unique problem since we have it only in this project, the 7 set of sheet files which have no other layer but the referenced layers. Previously, when I updated the masterfile reference link, the trees moved to the right location but as of today that option is not working either. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tony Kostreski Posted September 6 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 6 @SthavyaK out of curiosity, is the Vectorworks file with trees saved in a rotated plan view? I've seen an issue on this with referenced files and I reported on it. If so, I would recommend saving the file with the Rotated Plan view set back to 0º. Quote Link to comment

Not rotated @Tony Kostreski but thank you for your suggestion. Quote Link to comment
