Duplicate design layer - stories set up

Flair-Studio

Question

Hi,

I am having troubles in providing different layout options in a model that has been set up with stories:

When I duplicate the layer within a story which contains the walls (all walls are by style) the walls within the new layer are not following the (top bound, etc) height constraints of the original layer.

What is the best practice to provide different layout options within a model that has been set up with stories? Is there a way to duplicate an entire story so the walls aren't all messed up?

Many thanks

Federico

Thank you @Christiaan I have missed that and it will do the trick!

After posting this, I also tried to create new layers within the Story but it is too complicated: you have to assign a duplicate level type, copy all the geometry from the source layer, etc

Do you mean, create a new layer within the storey, then copy all the geometry that's set up with bounds etc into it? I would have expected this to work without the need to create additional level types. Do the objects forget their boundings when you copy them in?

The design layer I copied contained just parametric objects within the walls and everything I copied carried the settings from the original layer, it is just a dounting and not very intuitive process to have to make a new layer within the Stories settings, give it the level type, etc

It is more straight forward to duplicate the layer but after you created one, you have to edit and set the Story and level type straight, this was the part I was missing that @Christiaan pointed out

Thank you
