SamIWas
I know there's no way to build a PIO in Vectorscript to be a rigging object that an object will travel with. But what about the other way around? Is there any code I can put in my PIO to make it connect to a truss/pipe and move if the truss moves? Quote Link to comment
Mirko Guhr
Hi @SamIWas, I strongly doubt it. I can align objects to the truss, but I have no way to make them move with the truss like spotlights. If you want to describe the purpose a bit more precisely, I can make suggestions. Could it be a spotlight with another object? Best regards Quote Link to comment

It's a little like the hoist tool, but requires no symbols, no classes, no long list of options and settings, and is geared towards film/tv which is where I work. I'd love if it could travel with a pipe/truss. Quote Link to comment
Mirko Guhr
@SamIWas hmmm, I understand. I would now like to ask a few more questions 🙂: - Will the rig/truss be animated (create a group)? - Do you want to place the objects on the rig as simply as possible (time-saving/rig changes frequently/rig from the customer)? - Does it have to be a truss element, or can it also be a parametrically generated, changing PIO? - Is the rig only for display and has no later Braceworks connection? Unfortunately, I don’t have a direct solution. I could imagine a menu command that the user presses to realign the objects to the rig. However, auxiliary objects would also be needed. So it wouldn’t be a one-click solution Quote Link to comment
