Chris J Clarke
Hi, Does anyone know how to get a Worksheet to report a truss weight in KG rather than Grams please? I looked in the record for the Truss, and it looks to be in KG there, so I'm not sure why the truss.totalweight entry is reporting in grams? I've attached a screen shot of what's happening... markdd
Go to the header cell of the weight column and add a "/1000" to it. 1 Quote Link to comment
Chris J Clarke
Thank you Mark. That's worked. I signed up for your new Tutorial Video Service today, and I see that worksheets are on the roadmap for October. I really need to get on top of them properly, so I'm looking forward to that one. Thanks again, Chris 1 Quote Link to comment

Are you document units set to grams rather than kilos? See File > Document Settings > Units... > Structural Quote Link to comment

Chris J Clarke
I've just found that if I use "Records - Truss Record", rather than "Records - Truss" it gives me the variable "Truss Record.Weight Metric" instead of the "Truss.Total Weight" one, and the "Truss Record.Weight Metric" gives me the value in KG rather than grams. markdd
The data in the Truss Record is not dynamic and will never change. However, the weight field in the Truss Object can be updated whenever you like. It's all about choices! Quote Link to comment

I'd like to keep the installed truss weight seperate from the weight of it plus the lights etc anyway. So the fixed number is good for the spreadsheet I made for the truss alone... I'm trying to make one for the lightis now, but it's not working. I'm so confused about which entries to use in the criteria. It doesn't make sense to me. I've attched an image of the fields I've tried. The headers in blue show the record entries I've tried to get it to work. LightInfoRecord.Weight does show something, but it's in Pounds. If I click on the light, it shows me the weight in the OIP in kg. I would think that then just pointing the worksheet to the Lighting Device Record would do it, but it won't. I've got a graphic legend to show it, but the params I use to make that work aren't available for the worksheet., Edited September 4 by Chris J Clarke Quote Link to comment
