homero
My site location is 255' above sea level. I have set up my file as such. My contours in 2D are showing elevations relative to the site model (I think) which are in the single digits. How do I get them to reflect the Z elevation they are on? Jeff Prince
You gave the layer your site mode is on an elevation greater than 0. Don't do that and everything works fine. You may need to turn your contours on/off and update the site model for the labels to correct themselves after you correct the layer elevation. 1 Quote Link to comment

My site is on elevation 255' above sea level in real live and I set up the building stories as such. Why would the site model be on a layer less than 0' in elevation? Quote Link to comment

Because the site data is based off elevation above 0/sea level. If you set the site elevation of the Design Layer to something other than 0, it's going to mess up the calculations. Sites are relative to earth, building are relative to your imagination when it comes to elevation. 2 Quote Link to comment

How do I keep the viewports from extending all the way down there? Quote Link to comment

I created the viewport using the section-elevation line tool. How do I modify that viewport? I double clicked into the viewport but can't seem to find a way to modify it. I'm used to creating viewports using rectangles that can be selected and modified. Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
Right click on the VP + select 'Edit Crop' from the contextual menu. Add a rectangle as a crop object. Quote Link to comment
