@Jeff Prince  VW is looking to expand its presence beyond the current (mostly captive) user base.  You and I have a pretty good inkling of what will be in the new release, and we can always click on one of the links above.  (Using a VPN and deleting cookies afterwards, if need be...)

hopefully there is a checkbox in the preferences where i can disable that thing...

for me - completely useless. keyboard access to all views is much faster than moving the mouse to that turn-around-thing.

Every added item should have a preference to turn off if NOT desired. This is a long standing issue with VW where items appear (Component Edit Dialog...) and serve no function in the workflow - only aggravation. This new item appears to be a solution in search of a problem.

For us all the above already exists in our VW work flow

Not entirely true. There's no easy way to quickly switch to orbit (Flyover tool) without a three button mouse. Navigation should be independent of tools, period, just like every other 3d program out there. Even the free slicing software for 3d printing has better navigation than Vectorworks, a professional level piece of CAD software at a premium price.

That's a bit of a sweeping statement re the Component Edit dialog!! It might not serve a function in your workflow but it definitely does mine.

@Tom W.—yep & I think that may be the point, for those who indulge, click away, for those who do wish to…hide the thing/s & allow us to customize our screens more thoroughly
