Tom W.
Do they need to be modelled in 3D or could they be Image Props? Quote Link to comment
suz
3D , ive started using the create to curve tool from 3d power pack! experimenting with that! Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
Something like this. If so, you can have it if you want it. You will have to texture it. Quote Link to comment

Sometimes it’s faster and more fun to make things in real life and then scan them when you need something like the images you shared. 1 Quote Link to comment

For such a nice comment, you get a Rose, If I gave you the three files which includes this one, would you be good to go. I can make others for you if you need some tweaking. Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
Here are the three files I made this morning. It is not hard to make these, but unfortunately each step is a tutorial in itself, unless your NURBS Kung fu😀 is fairly advanced. The white flower was very easy to make, if you like, I can do a tutorial on that one. Paul NOTE: The file with multiple petals SNI_1_FORUM. It has one petal on layer one registered at zero in all views and the entire group on Layer 2. FLOWER 2_FORUM.vwxFLOWER_FORUM.vwxSNI_1_FORUM.vwx SNI_1_FORUM.vwx 2 Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
Just Playing. Never thought about flowers in VW. The power of VW's 3D modelling is largely unknown. Quote Link to comment
Tobias Kern
Hey Virturalenvirons, a tutorial would be nice. Thanks in advance Greetings Tobi Quote Link to comment

I would be happy to write a tutorial or two, but there are so many ways to create free form shapes that I don't know where to start. Is it the basic shape or highly detailed, etc. Please advise. Popular Post Jeff Prince
There are lots of ways to get shapes like that. If you look at most flowers, their shapes have some kind of symmetry at a basic level. Once you figure out that symmetry, break it down into curves to use as Lofts or Revolve with Rail. Once a basic petal is developed, you can use the deformation tools to bend and twist to make unique iterations. Here's a video of both a tubular and a composite flower. flowers.mov 8 1 Quote Link to comment
VIRTUALENVIRONS
@Tobias Kern@suz Hi. So I have created a nine minute tutorial that builds the model below in real time and covers all aspects and more of the models I posted. I am going to post it under a new thread as hopefully it will reach a few more before it disappears into the Netherworld. This and others always remain on my channel listed below. The Title will be - (NURBS Modelling - Where have all the flowers gone) Quote Link to comment
