What does that Bpoly command do?

Or, more specifically, what does it do that you want VectorWorks to do?

I tried it and the only thing I could figure out was that it can draw a polygon around an existing hatch. But you must be talking about something else that it can do.

It can draw polyline at any shape of closed perimeter..

not just around existing hatch. How many steps/click you need to draw a polyline with eg : 15 or 165 vertex?? Bpoly can do it with only 1 click ...not 15 or 165.

From the polyline...you can manipulate it to for your need

eg: area detection / calculation/ colouring.

I know there is command to create polygon from wall in VW. But it is only limited for closed wall only, not line/arc/polygon/rectangle/etc.

Select the bounding objects and call the Tool Menu > Combine into Suface (click inside the area).
