Toggle Class setting

Hunter B

Question

I would Love to be able to toggle on and off a layer as you are working instead of having to go into the class setup dialouge box. It just seems to make sense. As you are working simply turn off a class, then another, then another then you set a sheet view. PLEASE!!! Talk about a time saver! After all efficeint is what it is all about!

Alexandre...couldn't you just script that, if I'm understanding you right... Use the pull down to set the active class, then toggle that class on and off by making a command plug-in and setting a keyboard shortcut to it?

And Hunter, are you talking about classes or layers, you reference both with your first post interchangeably. How about right clicking (or option click) on an object and getting a menu choice to "hide this layer" or "hide this class" (the class or layer of the selected object). Of course this just turns them off, you'd still have to go to the dialog box to turn them back on, but it's a quick way to turn stuff off to set those saved sheets you talk about.
