Lost my work after importing a CAD DWG file

Hi,

 

I am self taught on VW and having an issue... I imported some DWG Cad blocks and now the design layers are all greyed out at the top/ I'm unable to click on them or retrieve any of my design drawings? Starting to panic... Tried undoing and it won't let me. Usually when i've imported cad's it creates it's own design layer automatically and I'm still able to navigate back, but not this time. There's a pic for ref to show how my top left seems to be greyed out?

@Camila85 Is there another dialog box open somewhere?  My first thought is that the application is waiting for you to click on a dialog box pop up.

No, not that I can see? I ended up using my back up file and think I'll just import CAD blocks in an empty file in future... Not sure why it happened

It is good practice to always import dwg’ s into a new blank file Unless you know for sure you need to do it in the project file. 
 

A DWG import could change your user origin for instance if you have the recommended settings turned on.
