VW22 Crashes when importing a design layer

I'm trying to import lighting devices from one document to another. When I try to import the design layer with layer objects (lighting fixtures) from one file to another using the import layer function in the organization dialogue, I keep having crashes. I can see that all of the objects appear in the new document but then when I go to close the organization dialogue, VW freezes and eventually crashes losing all of the import. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?
