Dan Cadwallader
Hi all, I'm having continued issues with Vectorworks 2024 and Enscape, in that I'm creating textures using the resource manager, and once I apply parameters (transparency, bump maps, self illumination etc), Enscape will display these parameters momentarily, then once I do anything further (eg. move the camera or adjust another parameter) it appears to glitch (like a screen flash), and revert to some sort of original material default. This default seems to be what exists as the original material in the resource manager, so my sense is that Enscape and Vectorworks are 'arguing' over the parameters of the material, as opposed to having a 'discussion', which is how I'm used to working (where both Vectorworks and Enscape contribute to parameter updates). Further info is that I'm on Windows 11, using the latest updates of both Vectorworks update 5 and Enscape 4.0.2, with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 VC (also updated last week). Any thoughts most welcome! MAKO
Hi there I was having same/similar issue. Whilst using enscape material editor, materials looked amazing, then doing anything outside of the editor, materials became simplistic. It was as if enscape was reading the ‘shaded’ quality of material, not showing normal map displacement etc. something that seemed to work for me was to go to plan (not top) view in VW, then open the enscape material editor. This seemed to remind enscape that the materials had a bit more going on than the shaded view in VW was showing. I could export views with the full material attributes. Going back to shaded view in VW made the materials return to being simplistic, but the above was reproducible. Hope this helps someone Quote Link to comment
