DWG/DWF Exports to it's own folder?

Catmansound

Question

Why the heck would the export command create a sub folder in order to create a file? Can this be turned off? Every time I generate a dwg file, I get a sub folder also with the dwg created in it. What a waste of energy now to have to go in to each folder, and copy the files to the folder I really want to be in. If I wanted a folder, I'd create one.

Come on Vectorworks, this is coding 101 stuff.

Thank you for the tip and link to the thread. As a Document Feature request , provide a sentence on this at the start of Export section for future users to find easier. I can see that this is a good feature.

Another feature request is to add text to the dialog box that will alert one of the additional folder. Additionally, one may want more control such as a different folder name created, etc. I also like the idea of being able to export several drawings with associated files into one folder for packaging.

Cheers,

Anthony
