unearthed
I am trying to export 3D loci to .dwg or dxf (either will do), and no matter what I do the 3D loci do not end up in the .dwg or dxf. The locus are just converted to 3D and all have z = zero as I don't need that data for my end use, and 0 is a valid number (just thinking in case VW is chucking them out like 'junk' DNA). VW Landmark 2018 file encl. along the with latest attempts with .dwg & dxf (from 2012 BricsCAD). Any help appreciated. 244_HEX_3D_loci.vwx 244_HEX_3D_loci.dwg 244_HEX_3D_loci.dxf Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Nina Ivanova Posted May 13, 2024 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 13, 2024 Hello @unearthed, All the 66 3D loci are exported and are listed as present in both the DWG and DXF files you have attached above - please, see the images. There is a system variable inside AutoCAD, which controls graphical representation of the points: PDMODE. PDMODE = 1 means no graphics at all - which is the case here. I set it to 2 inside the your dwg file and to 3 inside your dxf file - both files are attached. Additionally, there is another system variable, PDSIZE, which can control the size of the points. Hope this helps, Nina 244_HEX_3D_loci.dwg 244_HEX_3D_loci.dxf 3 Quote Link to comment

unearthed
That is super Nina! and for the file edits and examples. And fortunmately BricsCAD (my version is for year 2012) is near identical to AutoCAD so I have this functionality. BricsCAD forum discussion on PDMODE as people may find it useful in future. 2 Quote Link to comment
