Windows and doors within walls cannot be selected without encountering the double-arrow cursor, and I frequently move them without intending to do so. I have requested some attention to this problem in the past, and received no response and, obviously, no action. I would consider these problems, especially with windows and doors, an unacceptable flaw in the program.
It is great that VectorWorks uses cursor cues to indicate whether the mouse movement will resize - that makes editing objects with the mouse more fluid. But moving something when you don't want it moved should never happen. Dimensions, when selecting on the text or baseline, also give the double-arrow cue, but using the shift key while clicking precludes a resize. Using the shift key while clicking on a window or door causes the wall to be selected instead of the window or door. And you can't use a marquee to select a window or door in a wall, either.
