And are you saying you're still seeing flipped Door Hardware? I am not seeing it anymore: I believe it was resolved in VW2025 Update 3.

Yes, still flipped and not able to swap the hardware on the doors.

I have tried the default symbols and made a few custom and still no luck.

Hi Jake,

Thanks for the file.  I think the main issue with the file is the walls are drawn counterclockwise.  In general, exterior walls are best drawn in a clockwise fashion because the left side of the wall (relative to its drawn path) is the exterior side.  Of course, the idea of interior and exterior is more ambiguous for an interior wall and that's why we introduced the handing parameters (Interior Side, Hinge Side, Swing Direction).

The most correct way to fix this is to:

  1. Select the exterior walls and click on the "Reverse Sides" button in the Object Info palette to change the wall direction to clockwise.
  2. Set the Interior Side parameter of the Door to "Right Side of Wall".

If you'd rather not reverse  the wall direction, then you can just change the Interior Side parameter of the Door to "Left Side of Wall".

BTW: The Interior Side parameter can also be changed interactively by clicking on the blue arrow icon shown when the door is selected in Top/Plan.

Ok, thank you. That seems simple and painfully silly.

Will changing the wall direction to clockwise change its position in any way?

AFAIR it will keep the overall Wall just flipped about its middle line while keeping outer sides in line.

But usually, flipping an outer (multi component) Wall will mean that the components will no more fit ....

(Insulation package inwards after) which would mean the need to flipp the components in the Wall Style

A bit more brain would be needed when you apply another, or change a Wall Style to have a new overall width, when closing the dialog, to decide from which center exactly to perform the update.

So in this case it may be easier to just flip/arrange the Doors instead.
(But for the future it is generally a good advise to respect VW's favorite standard to always draw all Walls clockwise)
