Render Bitmap

ErichR

Question

Seems to me this is the most useful, no, the only rendering tool worth anything. This is because once it's done, the product is portable. BIG, but portable. Move the image to another layer, scale to a different size, copy and paste into Photoshop for a photomontage, etc.

Why not include Hiden Line Rendering as one of the Render Bitmap options? Hiden line rendering is often all one wants, but as it is, it's not a static entity. Change anything at all, and wait an eternity for a regeneration.

Not so: Select the objects, you want rendered, and use the comand "Convert copy to lines". This will produce a 2D hidden line rendering.

If you want to copy and paste it into another program, I recomend, that you scale up the 2D representation before copying ? to compensate for the inacuracy of the clipboards vector-format. Or you can export it into any format.
