Import Shapefile Color Coded by Data Field

Hi everyone,

 

I'm trying to import a zoning shapefile and want to color each polygon by its zoning type. The only thing I can manage to do is change the whole set, or click one-by-one-find the zoning type in the data tab-and color that.

Is there any way for vwx to create classes based on a particular attribute field?

I think shapefile import options could be improved with something like that.

 

Any help or validation would be appreciated.

I think it could be solved vith a DataViz.

@Hans-Olav’s suggestion is probably the most flexible method.  Alternatively, you can use “modify by record” to apply a color scheme to the objects.
