MikeB
I created 3 ovals of different sizes converted them to nurbs curves and then move 2 of them in the Z direction. The bottom one is11' x 17' , the middle one is 28' x 20' and the top is also 11' x 17'. They are seperated in the z direction by 10' each. I use the loft command and it works perfectly, but then I want to use the shell command - no go. I'm I doing something wrong, or is the geometry too complex? I can provide a file. Vectorworks, Inc Employee Biplab Posted April 12, 2002 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 12, 2002 First thing is to make sure you had the create solid check box checked when you created loft. This would ensure that you had top and bottom caps. If you did that already, you may want to try changing side of shelling (+ve thicknes for shelling outside and -ve for shelling inside). If you still can't create a shell of a reasonable thickness, please send the file to me. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
