Yes, it would be nice.

Layers, Sheets and Views should all be able to be grouped. Working with in excess of 800 drawings on one project and they are all in one long list is madness!

Layer grouping would make My Vectorworks Life a lot easier.

I've been in contact with a sales director at Vectorworks and have pointed out the flaw of not being able to create groups within the views and sheets. He has emailed me back to say that he has had to fight some internal battles to get to the top of the list with the Developers who are supposedly going to be implementing it. 

 

Part of his email is found below:

 

"I wanted to share some wonderful news with you. After fighting some internal battles, I have managed to push my way to the front of the queue and get your request to our R&D team (highest authority). 

 

I am happy to report that the request has now been created as a development ticket and placed in the roadmap. This will be updated in the coming week or so. 

 

Thank you for your patience and I really appreciate your input and persistence in getting this across the line. As I have motivated this with other threads from our customer forum, this will surely benefit many of our valued customers."
