Ben3B Posted December 15, 2023 Share Posted December 15, 2023 Hello I test the excel ref file in vwx 24sp2 I don't have an excel licence, but a google workspace with gsheet. So I downloads the gsheet file as xlsx and import it as worksheet and refenced it . It works in one way , I can update my worksheet from the excle file (push data from xlsx tu vwx worksheet) But I can't push data from VWX to excel file . I 've an error message who say that the file is in use bu another program (cf atch) Is it a limitation from google ? does it will works with open office ? But everything works outside of gdrive folder ... Quote Link to comment

The error you are seeing is an indication that Vectorworks is not able to get write access to the file because another application has an exclusive lock on it. Not sure what Google Drive is doing to the file. How big is the Excel file you are using? Are you using the latest version of Google Drive for Desktop? Quote Link to comment
Ben3B Posted December 26, 2023 Author Share Posted December 26, 2023 Hello I tried with an excel file and excel soft and there is no problem , it looks like gsheet keep the excel file opened in background ... But anyway I switched from google worksheet to Microsoft 365 , and everything works fine now The file was an empty one to test ... with just one word Inside;) Quote Link to comment
