Schematic View doing nothing at all for me...

I've just decided to dig into using schematic views for my vertical booms and ladders and I can't seem to even get started.

When I select a hanging position and create the schematic view, nothing appears at all. The newly created layer shows up, but with nothing on it.

I've tried this in a test file with just a truss and 4 fixtures on it. All classes and all layers are visible. The truss is indeed a hanging position and not a plain symbol or just a drawing. The fixtures are attached to the position in their Object Info. I've made sure I'm looking at the drawing origin for objects. Select All only selects the 5 existing objects.

I'm on MacOS 13.4 and VW 2023 SP7.

What have I missed? I've read many posts, but haven't found anyone stopped at this point so far.

I've watched that video more than once and it is really in depth and helpful, but I can't get past the first step! I'm not getting anything at all when I create a schematic view.
