Matt Basher
Just upgraded to VW 24 and there is a little blue cursor thing is there and too often just in the way. How do I turn it off? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
That is a new "Feature" of Mac OS Sonoma to show you when the Caps Lock key is active. Activate Caps Lock, Click on the on-screen indicator. Caps Lock will be turned off. Click on Caps Lock again. Caps lock will be turned on without the indicator. But it seems to come back on frequently. This is something that Apple will have to fix. There are a couple of scripts floating around on the internet to turn it off "permanently". Seach for Sonoma Caps Lock Script. 3 Quote Link to comment
Matt Basher
Thanks you! I work in Caps Lock, so I will have to look into those scripts. I did also just upgrade my OS, but I accidentally attributed it to the VW upgrade Now to figure out what the "Component Edit" thing is when editing symbols, and get rid of that...! Pat Stanford
I don't think you can get rid of Component Edit. Best is to move it to a location on the screen that you find least annoying. With the diminution of Screen Plane starting in VW2022, Component Edit is how you control what shows up in the Top/Plan view of symbols and what shows in the 3D views. It also lets you create "orthogonal" view specific 2D versions of the symbol that will show in line rendered (Hidden Line, Dashed Hidden Line, Sketch) viewports. Quote Link to comment
Matt Basher
Thanks Pat. I'll have to look further into that Quote Link to comment
