autodate feature

Question

I would love to see a script that updates the date on drawings as they are revises. Much like Word will print the date on every page, just taking the info from my computers clock. Of course, in VW it would have to update it and keep the date's text attributes (including position) unchanged.

Grantvz,

You may want to post this to the VS string or to the VS mailing list to see if someone has developed something to do this and would like to share it with you.

There is already a 'date/time stamp' plug-in, the only thing is you have to manually reset it after the first insertion (for it to display the current date & time).

Use the workspace editor to add it to a palette, this 'date stamp' can be found under the 'drafting tools' category of the 'tools' tab.
