Matt Hall
I would like to us visualization to show all 2x4 studs, 2x6 studs. I cannot find a way to have the visualization identify what wall uses 2x4 and 2x6 Any thoughts. Below is using visualization to ID fire rating. I would like to do the same for stud thickness. this would be an internal review not construction documentation I though i could use the "Function User-Defined or the wall style name. But i cannot find how to add these to the Visualization tool Thank you Quote Link to comment
Jeff Prince
You could do it with Wall Styles or Materials. The attached file shows how to do it with Materials of components. I imagine you could do it with thickness, I'll have to check that out. wall visualization example.vwx Quote Link to comment

I'm not sure where the 'Function' data is stored... Another option is to colour them based on the 'Description' field in the Data pane: Lots of options... Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
You could also probably do something clever with the Data Manager whereby the Wall component details are mapped to the IFC Material fields which would allow you to use those fields to colour the Walls based on the presence of certain components.
