Brian Nitz
Currently, when placing a piece of equipment into a 3D rack if the equipment takes up multiple RU it will have the top of the equipment be in the RU, so as an example if I have a 2RU frame and I place it into RU 5 via the object info palette the top of the frame will be in RU 5. Is there a setting so that it would be the bottom of the frame in RU 5 instead? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Nikolay Zhelyazkov Posted September 27 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 27 Hello @Brian Nitz, Currently this is not possible. You will have to move this frame to RU6 so that its bottom is in RU5. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov 1 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Conrad Preen Posted September 27 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 27 Hi @Brian Nitz a choice had to be made either top or bottom. The reason that we use the top of the equipment as its location is because in the vast majority of cases cabling comes up from the bottom of a rack so the equipment location represents the maximum height that the cable must reach. I think that a setting for this would introduce confusion. Regards Conrad 1 Quote Link to comment
