Draw a road path on 3D site modelling

Hello everyone，Can anyone help me to understand how to draw a road path on our 3D site modelling to fit the current terrain, at the moment I have the road outline in CAD, but when I try to create it with the road polygon tool ,the popup says: unable to create the road because it is self intersecting,I don’t understand why.

Can you post the dwg and VWX files?

there could be several things causing the problem and the quickest way to diagnose is to look at the file.
