Cristiano Alves
I learned and used Vectorworks with Windows for a few months, and now I have changed to MacBook; and I think some tools work differently between SOs. Probably it’s a noob question, but can you help me to understand what I missed to crop my viewport? IMG_4482.mov Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Go into Edit Crop mode as you did and draw a closed 2D object (Rectangle, polygon, circle). When you exit Edit Crop mode it will be used as the Crop object. 1 Quote Link to comment

Elite Exhibits
What is often confusing with a Viewport Crop ? No Crop is needed. So ... one might think that there already is a Crop in the Viewport based on the Selection Handles when the Viewport is active. ( ...or the fact that Edit Crop is available as a selection with Edit Viewport) While VectorWorks only allows a single crop, it can be any 2D shape ... Peter 2 Quote Link to comment
mar schrammeyer
Do not forget you can also use the clip tool, place the viewport on selected sheet layer and clip as required. This creates a 2d crop. Edited September 21, 2023 by mar schrammeyer Quote Link to comment
