unearthed
How do I not see 'Do you want to manually locate the broken reference?' when I open a file? If I want to search for It I will, but 99% of time not relevant to the task at hand. Quote Link to comment

unearthed
Thanks, all I could find to do that was this, and it lacks an absolute OFF - very hard to find this sort of thing in VW - could find nothing in HELP for location of this setting. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Hugues Posted August 7, 2023 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 7, 2023 Edit the reference and you should see the option to auto update the reference at file open. This an option that can be controlled for each reference individually. Note that if you are referencing an image file and the option to save the referenced cache is unchecked, the reference image will always auto update at file open. You must enable "save referenced cache" to control the auto updating at file open. Hope it helps. Quote Link to comment
shorter
edit the file you have referenced and untick 'automatically update references' when the file opens. Quote Link to comment
