the view options while editing groups should include "gray other objects", ideally also "gray and snap other objects", which would make the objects inside the group stand out but still allow snapping to objects outside the group.
as someone mentioned earlier, the group visibility option should be extended to other editable objects like floors, roofs, etc.
also, it would be a big timesaver, if the group-view options could have keyboard shortcuts assigned, so toggling them wouldn't require digging down into the display tab of the vw-prefs.
