Ramon PG
Is there a way of editing (going into the design layers) a viewport while showing the class overrides (ex.: as shown below)? Edited June 12, 2023 by Ramon PG Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
Right click on the viewport and select Edit from the menu. Check the Display Using Viewport Attributes check box and the Design Layer radio button. Click OK. 1 Quote Link to comment

It reverts to the original class settings: the existing doors have a red class, and they do show when editing the design layer. Quote Link to comment
0 twhitwell6
Any further comments on this? Im having the same issues? Im using spaces with wall finishes assigned. The viewport has a class override on the spaces so that they have no fill. This then shows when editing the design layer. I dont want to turn the layer off as I wont be able to see the wall finishes (shown using a data visualisation) and I dont want to change the fill in of the entire layer, as I will only have to change this back. First image showing the viewport on the sheet layer with class attributes set to override the fill of the spaces. Second image shows editting the design layer and class overrides have gone back to showing a solid fill on the spaces. Quote Link to comment

Can I confirm that you are doing this with 'Display using Viewport Attributes' enabled in the Edit Viewports dialog? In my quick test the Space is not showing the fill when I edit the design layer but this is without a Data Vis applied. 1 Quote Link to comment
0 twhitwell6
Yes, I have the "display using viewport attributes' ticked. I have a data vis applied unfortunately Quote Link to comment
0 Tom W.
So it's the Data Viz which is causing the problem? I didn't test it with a DV applied to check Quote Link to comment
0 twhitwell6
Interestingly though, the pen settings for the data vis shows when in editting design layer but not the fill. Quote Link to comment

SORRY... it does work, but only in annotations. Edited October 21, 2024 by Ramon PG Quote Link to comment
