MikeB
When I select a nurbs surface, in the info palette there is a field for weight. If I change this number it appears to cause the handels in a nurbs curve to move around when using the 3-d reshape tool. Can someone explain whats going on? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Biplab Posted April 11, 2002 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 11, 2002 The NURBS surfaces are represented by control vertices - these are the points you see when you invoke the 3D reshape tool or when you check the show vertices checkbox in the OI Palette. The surface geometry may or may not (most cases) pass thru these vertices. The weight at a vertex is a way to pull the surface geometry towards or away from a vertex. If you input any weight between 1-100, it should pull the surface locally more towards that vertex. If you input any weight between .01 - 1, you will essentially push the geometry away from the vertex. Quote Link to comment
