0 Samuel Derenboim
@John S. Hansen You have to assign a record for it to be linked. Also, make sure you input the user and password information into the connector if you have one. If you press details - it should return the error that is making it not work. 0 ashot
Connection for ODBC and Filemaker for Vectorworks on Intel Mac has the same problem, I could never solve it for years. on my Mac ODBC works with Filemaker directly, without any problem, but it never worked for sharing with Vectorworks. The Error screenshot shown above is specific only to Vectorworks. After my I struggle I forced to use SQLITE. It works for Vectorworks and does not need ODBC part of Vectorworks. 0 unearthed
Windows user here, I had also tried for years, including specialist IT help, wasted a ton of time and have never been able to get this to run, on varieety of systems and three successive VW versions. Quote Link to comment
0 Marc Davies
For a while Filemaker Pro ODBC was working again (at least on a Mac), but SQLite was far really more reliable with a direct connection. However in Vectorworks 2024, the option to connect to SQLite is not available at least not in current build 1. There seems to be an error in the connection dialog box so SQLite is not showing. Aargh! There are only options for ODBC or manually typed connection string. I have tried various, but none work to SQLite databases. Anyone have any similar experience? Please VWX supply a fix as soon as possible. Edited October 27, 2023 by Marc Davies Added screenshot Quote Link to comment
