PDF42
First of all, thanks to the community I came quiet far with the forums content. somehow I can’t find something to build a dialog to select objects. I would be glad if someone can point me to the right direction? Quote Link to comment
Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted May 4 Marionette Maven Share Posted May 4 Can you provide more information as to how this dialog will be used? Would it display a dialog each time you ran a script, are you imagining a popup in the OIP? Quote Link to comment
Jeremy Best
If you're not intent on this being a Marionette, it sounds like the sort of thing best met by selecting a script from the Script Palette. Use the 'Custom Selection' command to create a script that will select the desired objects. Then just double-click the script in the Script Palette any time you want to action it. E|FA
There's also the "Select Similar" magic wand tool. Quote Link to comment
PDF42
Thanks a lot for your answers. I see. I need to explain a little more. So far iam trying to build a Tool wich creates simple buildings from different Polygons. I think it could speed up urbanplanning routines alot. As example: It grabs simple 2D polygons from the calsses "building basement" , "building mid part" and "building top part" then extrudes the polygons and stack them as floor levels to an simple building. So far not a problem. Id like to run the script and select different sets of buldings to set up different settings for numbers of floors etc. Therefore id like to have an dialog to select objects. In future i'd like beeing able to activate each buidling and change the settings for exmaple the amount of floors for each within the OIP. Quote Link to comment
